Recycled Silver - Precious Metals Clay (PMC): This silver is recycled from Camera and x-ray film,
combined with an organic binder and water and formed into clay (PMC by Mitsubishi). The clay is
then molded into original designs and fired in a kiln at 1650 degrees to form 99.9% silver (fine
silver). Most of the pieces you see here are then patina'd, which speeds up the 'tarnish' effect in the
silver, to show more detail work in the designs. Recently products of Bronze and Copper have been
added to the Metal Clay art and I have added a few examples to view. They are formed very
similar to the silver, but fire slightly differently. The addition of Bronze and Copper Clays adds
another dimension to metal clay creations.
